As a dancer, choreographer, and teacher, I believe movement is a reflection of something far greater than myself. My core belief as an artist is grounded in Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Every piece I create, every class I teach, and every performance I give is rooted in this truth. Additionally, I am inspired by Galatians 5:25: "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." This scripture can be a beautiful metaphor for dance 🤍 But this reminds me that my creative journey is not just about movement but about aligning with God’s purpose and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
I find great joy in teaching both Hip Hop and contemporary dance. Through teaching, I have the privilege of helping others discover their voice, build confidence, and experience the healing power of movement. Whether in Hip Hop or contemporary, I strive to use dance as a tool to express themes of resilience, identity, and redemption, bridging the emotional depth of contemporary dance and the raw beauty of Hip Hop with the transformative power of the Gospel. As believers, we are called to spread the light of Jesus, and I view my work as a way to reflect His light in the world.
I, above all, give all glory to God. He is the source of my creativity, my calling, and my strength. My mission as an artist is not to seek fame or recognition, but to faithfully use the gifts He has given me to inspire, uplift, and glorify His name, spreading His light wherever I go.
